    It is both powerful and easy to use, and is a necessity for those more serious about technical analysis, as it allows you to add technical analysis indicators and price overlays and draw line studies on your charts.

   Who's ChartAlert® suited for ?
    ChartAlert® can be used both by full-time or active traders who trade frequently (day traders and short-term traders) and those who trade or invest less frequently (part-time traders who may hold a full-time job unrelated to the businesses of finance, trading and investing). Part-time traders generally have a medium-to-long-term focus in trading and investing.
   What PC configuration is required to run ChartAlert® ?
    An Intel® Pentium® IV 2GHz+ PC with 1024 MB of RAM could do the trick. We recommend that you have free hard disk space of 500 MB to be able to hold archives of (a) stock market data going back several years, and (b) advisory reports going back several months. The actual application occupies less than 30 MB.

    Being a Microsoft® Windows® compatible software, to run ChartAlert®, you would need Microsoft® Windows® 2000 (SP4) or Windows® XP (SP2/SP3) or Windows® Vista or Windows® 7 operating system, and the Microsoft® .NET Framework Ver2.0 installed on your PC.
   Does ChartAlert® come with an in-built Help system ?
    Yes. ChartAlert® comes with a comprehensive Help system that's accessible through "Help" on the top menu bar in the software.
   Does ChartAlert® Advisory Module publish advisory reports for both cash and derivatives segment of the market ?
    The stock market investment research & advisory reports published in ChartAlert® Advisory Module are based on spot or cash market tickers and are meant to facilitate trading and investing across all time-frames viz. day trading, short-/ medium-/ long-term.

    Thus, these stock market forecasts can be used to trade both the cash and the derivatives (futures & options) segment of the stock market across all time-frames.
   Is ChartAlert® also a charting software? Can I do technical analysis with it ?
    Yes. ChartAlert® ships with an interactive charting tool (Charting Module) that is capable of generating professional-looking financial charts in a simple and user-friendly format, besides giving complete control over adding technical indicators or price overlays, and drawing line studies in your charts.

    If you have a particular stock in mind, use the View-by-Company feature available in the software to view the stock research for a specific security across all time-frames in a single report. Available in an easy-to-pull-and-print format, View-by-Company serves as a snapshot of a single stock.

   Upon subscription, do I get access to all reports seen in ChartAlert® ?
    Yes. On subscription, you get complete access to all stock market research and advisory reports and charts for the duration of your subscription period.
   What's the activation procedure after I subscribe to ChartAlert® ?
    To activate ChartAlert®, click on "Activate ChartAlert" in the "Welcome" screen to bring up a Subscription/ Activation dialog box.

    Now retrieve the multi-digit ProductID displayed there (by clicking on the "Copy ProductID to Notepad" button) and send it to us by email at: CustomerService@ChartAlert.com or Subscriptions@ChartAlert.com.

    After we confirm your subscription status at our end, we'll send you a 8-digit UserID/ multi-digit Activation Key that will activate the software on your PC for for the duration of your subscription period.

    After you receive the UserID/ Activation Key, click on "Activate ChartAlert" in the "Welcome" screen to bring up the same Subscription/ Activation dialog box.

    Now enter the UserID (under "Online Activation") exactly as sent to you and click on "Activate".

    Once successfully activated, the collection of research and advisory reports and charts will now be fully accessible for the duration of your subscription period.
   How do I collect data files or advisory reports using ChartAlert® ?
    You can collect stock market research and advisory reports and charts by either using the WebUpdate or ManualUpdate option.

    For detailed help on how to collect data, please read the "Collecting Your Data" chapter in the comprehensive Help system that ships with the software. The comprehensive Help system is accessible through "Help" on the top menu bar in the software, or lookup the data collection flash-based demo from here.
   When, and how frequent, are the data files or advisory reports available for download ?
    The stock trading and investment research advisory reports/ market forecasts and charts are available for download at least 4 times a day. These reports (available in an encrypted format) can be used only from within the software. To get an idea about the data download schedule, please lookup the ManualUpdate data download webpage.
   Do I have to remain connected to the internet all the time while using ChartAlert® ?
    No. You don't have to be connected to the internet at all when browsing through ChartAlert®.

    In fact, you have to connect to the internet only to download data files that are available at least 4 times in a day, with each download taking no more than 1 or 2 minutes. Since all the downloaded data files reside on your PC, you can browse through all stock and investment research reports and charts offline.
   Is there a provision to access archives of advisory reports/ market forecasts on my PC ?
    Yes. Since all downloaded data files (stock research and advisory reports/ market forecasts/ charts) reside on your PC, you can access them at any point in time. There's, however, a limitation: the archival time limit of all research and advisory reports has been limited to a maximum period of 3 months primarily to conserve hard disk space. However, price-volume data of NSE cash stocks going back to its origin can be accessed with the Charting Module.
   As a subscriber, what kind of support do I get ?
    As a subscriber, you're entitled to full technological support by email (and if need be by telephone), if you face any problems with ChartAlert® on your PC.
   As a subscriber, do I get online trading support during market hours ?
    No. We don't have online trading support during market hours. All our stock trading and investment research strategies and charts are published end-of-day through the software only.
   As a subscriber, do I get free software upgrades or do I have to pay for them separately ?
    All (end-of-day) software upgrades or newer versions of the (end-of-day) software are available for no additional cost to all existing members during their subscription period.
   Will a prolonged use of the software occupy a lot of hard disk space on my PC ?
    Not if you want it to. The size of the downloadable data files (available at least 4 times in a day) could add to over 1 MB per trading day, and if left unchecked, these date files over a period of time could occupy a lot of hard disk space. So, the software comes with a data maintenance feature that can be used to remove old and unused data files from your PC.

    Also, since the software has been designed with an archival time limit of a maximum period of 3 months, it would be prudent to use the data maintenance feature regularly to save on system resources and make the software quicker. The "Data Testing & Maintenance" feature is accessible from "Data" on the top menu bar.
   I want ChartAlert® installed at multiple locations; are there discounts on multiple licenses ?
    Yes. There are discounts available for bulk purchases. These bulk purchases (lease licenses) are meant for in-house consumption only and are not meant for resale.
